Veteran Angler Wins – Dedicated Youth Angler Makes His Debut
Tournament event number four for The Five County Bassmasters took place on Lake Gaston. Perry Doan took home the victory for what seemed to be a lower than normal weigh event for the club as a whole on this body of water. Perry managed a final weight of 8.50 lbs. Perry indicated that his five fish limit was caught off of boat docks using soft plastics.
Wayne Joyner took home the second place position with 8.31 lbs followed in the third spot by Randy Parker with 8.12 lbs. Finishing in the fourth position was Brett Latta with 8.05 lbs. Rounding out the top five was the young up-and-coming angler Dominick Latta with 6.34 lbs. John Feagans captured the lunker for the event with a fish tipping the scales at 4.77 lbs.
