We had a great turnout for our 6th club tournament of the 2026 fishing season on Saturday at Roanoke River with 30 boats. It was a great day to be fishing, with half the field catching a limit. We will take a break from the heat in August and return back in September.
Matt Kimbrell and Jamie Williams took the top spot with a 5 fish limit of 18.65lbs.
Matt also claimed Lunker with one weighing 6.74lbs. He is now leading Lunker of the Year, beating out Brandon Joyner’s 6.72lbs from Perquimans. But with two events remaining can it be beat?
- 2nd Place: Daryl Peele and Jerry Langley – 16.69lbs.
- 3rd Place: Danny Hayes and Ryan Hayes – 16.44lbs.Â
- 4th Place: Ronnie Bridgers and Dean Brady – 13.36lbs.
- 5th Place: Aaron Ingram and Andrew Ingram – 13.14lbs.
- 6th Place: John Parrish and Tim Little – 12.88lbs.
- 7th Place: Ed Collier and Chad Boyette – 12.22lbs.
- Lunker: Matt Kimbrell – 6.74lbs.
