Duo have a late day surge to anchor a blowout victory.

Falls Lake was the site of stop number three on the schedule for the Five County Bassmasters. Mike Brinchek and David Tugwell secured the top spot when Brinchek landed a pair of lunkers weighing in at 6.50 and a 7.00 pounds respectively near the final hour of competition giving the team a 19.57 pound final weight. Brinchek noted that the two kicker fish were caught using a Senko. Finishing in the second spot, well out of reach for the win, was the angling pair of Jeff Narron and Tim Gardner with 7.18 pounds. Third place went to Alan Sudman and Terry Gibbons with 6.90 pounds. Rounding out the top five included the fourth place team of Scottie Braswell and Tim Grice with 6.00 pounds and fifth place Perry Doan and Ernie Hoover with 5.88 pounds.
