Five County had their largest tournament to date with 41 boats at Lake Gaston for the 3rd tournament of 2023 on Saturday, May 13th. It was a great day to be fishing with 32 limits weighed in. Most of the weights were separated by only ounces. Hopefully in a few years the F1 Bass Project at Gaston will have more fish weighed in separated by pounds.
Nick Godwin and Shane Godwin took the top spot with 5 fish weighing 15.65lbs. Fishing the NCBASS Nation Qualifier at Kerr Lake for 2 days on the Thursday and Friday before did not slow them down any.

John Feagans and Nathan Canaday weighed in our only 5 pounders for the tournament. John won the lunker with a 5.89lbs, and Nathan had a 5.23lbs.
