The latest stop for the Five County Bassmasters took place on the Chowan River near Edenton, NC. Thirteen anglers turned out to test these “Down-East” waters.
Ed Collier and daughter Angie “Collier” Narron bested the field with their catch of 10.29 lbs, including the lunker for the event of 3.71 lbs. The duo claimed to have caught most of their fish on soft plastics around isolated wood cover. With only minutes to go in the event the pair doubled up on fish with what was meant to be their last cast apiece, proving that Mike Iaconelli’s “Never Give Up” theory still holds true.
Rounding out the top five positions included 2nd place Danny Hayes and Jeff Narron, 3rd place Mike Brinchek and Clay House, 4th place Tim and Tyler Gardner, and 5th place Alan Sudman and David Honeycutt.
The final tournament event for the Five County Bassmasters will take place on Shearon Harris reservoir in November.
