Five County Bassmasters Season Opener

The 2011 tournament season for the Five County Bassmasters gets underway this coming Saturday, March 12th from the Roanoke River at Plymouth, NC. This event will be a team format event where each boat can weigh the five largest fish from the day. The anglers can compete alone or as a two-man team on each boat, yet the maximum creel limit will remain at 5 fish per boat. Anglers that compete as a team will be awarded the same amount of points for their finishing position. The angler that catches the largest single fish for the event will be awarded lunker bonus points. The size limit for this event will be a minimum of 14” in length. The event starting and ending times will be 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

All anglers must be checked in, completed the safety and livewell check, and be ready to start the event by 6:45 am. As a safety reminder, running lights must be working and used from blast off until the anglers stop at their first fishing location.
